This video was shot in 2010 featuring Rainbow Child Foundations visit to South Africa to see the launch of a play pump which was installed using funds raised by the charity, and showing what a difference your contributions can make to hundreds of lives.
The analogy of the rainbow is that each colour is beautiful by itself, but when put together in harmony they create this great spectacle we call the rainbow. At the end of every rainbow there is a treasure, the treasure lies within us, and we must find that treasure and share it with those less fortunate than us.
Chico says this about the charity; "My lifes ambition and dream has always been more then just the fame game, as we both know the music business feeds your ego but I need something to feed my soul and working closely with a few charities surrounded by terminally ill children in Great Ormond Street hospital, Alder Hey hospital etc to the orphans in Thailand and Cambodia, I realised that God has blessed me with a gift to touch people and hopefully make a little difference in the world. "
"I am a Sufi Muslim (the mystical side of Islam) and my dream has always been about uniting the faiths, colours and creeds for the love of the brothehood of men, through the universal language we all call MUSIC to live in peace and harmony with one another, after all we need different notes to make a harmony, as do all the colours of the rainbow where each colour inhances the other, so RAINBOW CHILD was born."
The aim is to provide care and spiritual understanding to the chidren of this world, from the aids children in Africa to the Tsunami refugees, and basically every child that we can reach and help. Inch Allah (God willing) we will be able to build schools and shelter, educate people not only in the acadamical sense but spiritual education for the self to elevate them to higher consciousness, basically to touch the untouchable, and reach the unreachable through love. Now I have the media as a tool to use I believe that one day we aim to educate, shelter, feed and nurture the underpriveliged and sick children of this world."
