At each of our UK heats, we ask our finalists to raise money for our two supported charities, Rainbow Child Foundation and Headway East Kent.
The girl who raises the most at each event, will win the title Miss Charity for her area and a place in the Miss Charity UK finals, along with some of our highest fundraisers. Representatives from the charities will be selecting an overall winner to take the Miss Charity UK title and a place in the Face Of Europe grand finals this November.
Some of finalists won their place in this heat during the 2011 late heats.
In September 2012, the public will be able to vote for their winner with all profits from the votes going to the charities. The top 3 from the text vote AND three girls selected from their profiles below by our judges, will be interviewed to determine the overall winner.
Hi everyone,
My name is Grace Elizabeth Weaver, I am 17yrs old and live Birmingham, West Midlands.
When i was 3 years old I entered my first ever beauty competition Miss Pears in 1997 and have continued ever since taking part in beauty pageants such as Miss Black Country, Miss Birmingham, Model Of the Year and Face Of Europe where I have made many friends.
I currently hold the title West Midlands Regional winner for M,O,T,Y, and Miss Charity for Face Of Europe/ Face Of PageantsUK.com
Rainbow Child Foundation and HeadwaysBrain Injury are the chosen Charities, a good family friend Richard Knight and myself decided to do a charity canoe trip down the River Seven starting at seven park Bridgnorth and paddling down river to Bewdley.
We had the weather on our side as it stayed dry and got in the canoe at 10 o'clock knowing we had 18 miles of river to cross. Our supporters helped us as every now and again and they would meet up with us and shout us thru different parts of the river bank. There where times when the paddling got tough we would think we could give up but we didn't as we needed to reach Bewdley to gain the experience of raising our money for the charities that so need the help from all fund raising . We reached Bewdley at around 7pm and the darkness was just beginning to come up on us, what a good site to see the end of our trip down the river Seven, we got out the canoe knowing we could hand over our money which we paid £80 for the canoe hire and handed over £395 to Face Of Europe.
I am attending a charity event for Headway in March and am so proud of myself to be part of this event knowing all monies raised from Face Of Europe fund raising will be helping so many, I have now planned my next charity Bike Ride April 28 2012 from Arley to Bridgnorth along the route 49 through the shropshire country side and hoping to raise around £1,000 if you would like to join us or sponsor us please check out http://www.facebook.com/faceofeurope?ref=ts#!/events/155146541264266/ or email lisa_firkin@hotmail.co.uk
My name is Alexandra Hair, I am 17 years old and live in Washington which is a small town situated Sunderland and Newcastle.
I have never really entered any beauty pageants before The Face Of Newcastle 2011 and I had only recently started modelling and lookalike work. I was so happy to have got placed and won the face of charity title, which is one step further to going to europe.
To raise the money I completed a 170ft bungee jump ( in the rain!) Off the Middlesbrough transporter bridge. It was the scariest moment of my life but the adrenaline rush was amazing.
I am so proud of myself for conquring my fear of heights and raising the amount of money I did. It gives me great pleasure knowing I have made a difference to some ones life and this it what gave me the motivation to plunge head first towards the murky river.
I hope to take part in more activities to raise even more money for the charities.
